Kimberly Thompson is a timeless Black woman reincarnated from the 8th century, born to sail the Black Sea, but instead rode the buses of the modern world through pitiful cities with no reverence for the truly spiritual beings.
She is a passionate writer who loves challenging and expressing herself through different creative channels.
During her time at Alma College, Kim quickly recognize the beauty of the Alma College Theater and felt the magnetic pull. She took the leap and studied Beginning Acting her Sophomore year with Joe Jezewski. That same year, Kim was the stage manager for "Gave Her the Eye", directed by Joe Jezewski for the 2011 One Act Play Festival. Throughout her remaining years at Alma she performed many backstage/tech roles such as stage manager, light board operator, hair and make up designer and worldly assistant.
Since Alma, Kim has done some freelance theater consulting. She is also focusing on her own personal creative endeavors. She is currently writing, dancing and perfecting her cooking skills. She believes food and music is a universal language that could bring communities together.
In the future, Kim would love to become a published author and start her podcast. Kim is extremely excited to start as The (Beat)'s Production Manager and to work with wonderful artists.
