Linnae Caurdy is a passionate theatre artist best known for her hugs and for being a double-Scorpio.
Linnae went to Alma College with a bunch of hooligans and crazy people (also featured on this site). She spent a semester studying at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York City. After graduating from Alma, she said goodbye to the Midwest and headed for San Francisco. She completed a two-year program with Sanford Meisner’s last teaching protege, Jim Jarrett, at The Meisner Technique Studio and was an associate- company member of Actors’ Theatre San Francisco. Later, she moved to New York and was an active member of Play Club of the Unknown Artists and performed in several shows throughout the city.
She has lived, acted, directed and helped to create new works in San Francisco, New York, Detroit (as well as other various theatres in South East Michigan), Chicago and her hometown and current city, Grand Rapids, MI.
Her biggest dream was to someday be reunited with the crazy people from her college years—her fellow dreamers and creative family. And here she is, creating alongside some of her favorite humans and astoundingly talented artists.
